How we handle your information

What we collect

We collect only what you type into the form on our Get in Touch page. That is: whether you are writing as a student, a supporter, or a general enquiry; your name; your email address; your phone number if you choose to give it; your message; and the language you were reading the site in.

If you tell us you are a prospective student, we also collect the public university you attend, your field of study, your GPA after your first year, and the public school you graduated from.

What we do not collect

This website has no user accounts and processes no payments. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever. We do not ask for your national ID number, your bank details, or your family's financial information, and you should not send them to us.

Why we use it

To answer you, to assess scholarship applications, and to run the annual cycle. Nothing else.

Cookies

This site sets one small cookie that remembers whether you chose English or Arabic. It is necessary for the site to show you the right language and it holds nothing else. We also ask, once, whether you are willing to let us count visits so we can see which pages people actually read. If you say no, nothing is counted, and you can change your answer at any time using the link below. We store your answer in a second small cookie so we do not have to ask you again.

Where your information is stored

Submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and stored in a managed database. Our website and database are run by service providers whose servers may be located outside Jordan, which means your information may be transferred and stored abroad. Those providers process it only in order to run the service for us.

How long we keep it

General enquiries are kept for up to twenty-four months. Scholarship applications are kept for the scholarship cycle and for up to twenty-four months afterwards, so that we can consider you again and keep an accurate record of our decisions. After that we delete them.

Who can see it

Only the people at the foundation who need to read it in order to reply to you or to review your application.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Write to info@amnehfoundation.org and we will respond.

If you are under eighteen

If you are under eighteen, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us your details.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, including the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023.
